CLOSED.....Z Palette {Giveaway}

It's that time of year and I have the best gift to give you gals!!!
I like to try new things and see how well they work for me, then share with you gals. I have a Z Palette myself and I use it when I go to do makeup. I have TONS of eyeshadows and blush and desperately need something to help me condense all my goodies. I have 2 MAC palettes and want to try the UNII Cosmetics palette now.

For this blog entry we are going to be talking about experiences with the Z Palette.
I have been researching this product all over the internet as well as using it myself.

My experience has been good thus far. I like that I can see my colors through the top where with others I have to open it and hope the color I want inside is the one I picked up.
I love the patterns. I have the leopard printed one.
In my palette I have lots of different pans. MAC, Mary Kay, eye shadows, and blushes. I am still working on de-potting my other cosmetics.
I have been able to fit a lot of pans into the palette. I must have at least 20 in one Z Palette.

Somethings I read about that people didn't like were that is is made of cardboard. Don't want to get it wet. It's not the cardboard you are thinking exactly though. Not the kind that's cheap from a box you ship stuff in.
I have seen girls complaining about the pans not staying put. This problem I had only with my MAC eyeshadows that I de-potted. I fixed that problem easy as pie. I went to Wal-Mart and bought the magnetic sheets for $0.97. Just cut it into a square and remove the sheet and stick it to the back. Now they stay just fine.

My next venture is to go to IKEA and get a holder for all the Z Palettes that I will have soon. =) This product (click on the link) you can paint and decorate however you want and it will hold your Z Palettes.
The link above is for a DVD rack and this one HERE is for a CD rack. Both will fit Z Palettes.

Follow instructions below to win your own set of Z Palettes. The prize is ONE large leopard and ONE small zebra palette. You get BOTH!

Well, I have never had a Z Palette but have read multiple reviews on them and they seem pretty neat. I like how you can add pots from just about any makeup company to them so you can collect all your fave colors and have them in one palette!

  19. 1. I have 4 ZPalettes. My life would be a complete mess without them! I used to have drawers and drawer of eyeshadows and blushes. It was a HUGE mess. I would have to fumbel through every drawer and package to find what I was looking for. Now with my Zpalettes Everything is on one spot easy to find. Not to mention I have sooooo much more space now and I'm not earth friendly not having to buy packaged shadows and blushes! I Love Love Love these! I even took them into my school and 2 of the teachers placed orders!

  32. I would love to win the Z palette because Its the ideal product to have when your on the go.
I have been dying to have this Z palette for ever..
I have eyeshadows and blushes that have broken. I know we all can relate to that one! lol So I think the Z palette would be ideal for me. Not only to organize my makeup but to have better application. its hard to put on eyeshadow that has been broken and powder falling over.

  36. 1. I don't have a Z Palette yet and would love one. I have the Flirt! 40 palette eyeshadows and it comes in a plastic palette which is pretty large and hard to put away. Z Palette would allow me to depot those eyeshadows and store it away properly.

  42. What is the easiest way to de-pot MAC eye shadows? Mine keep cracking!

    ReplyDelete
  43. @Rosie- I use a straight iron on mine and try to patiently wait for the glue to melt. It's hard because the glue is less and more on all different pans. You can use a candle if you need to. I usually have my hubby's tools handy as well. Or a set of tweezers. Hold it over the iron or flame with a tool (pliers I think). You can test it by flipping it over on a towel on the table and gently push it out. If it doesn't give enough keep heating it. Do the same thing to de-pot it. Just push it out. Use the tweezers or a metal nail file to try and pry it out once you get some of the edge out. You don't want to burn your fingers...I have! =)
Let it cool upside down and then take alcohol to take the glue off. Stick a magnet on the back and you are good to go! It does take time though (the heating).
If your shadows break you can use alcohol and heat to pot it back. But best to try not to break any so as you don't have to fix them of course hehe.
